I was always a sucker for wedding receptions that had a slideshow of pictures of the couple as they were little! I don't know why, but I just absolutely love them. So, here is a little sneak preview!

Bear World Part II

Yes, I know what you are thinking, oh more pictures from going to bear world a few weeks ago....WRONG!
We went to Bear World again on Monday! Ben's brother Brad came to Rexburg to party it up with us, and to celebrate his birthday!
I should have gotten more pictures...but it never happens because we are always having too much fun to stop and take pictures! But here are some goodies:

A moose and a bear.

Benjamin!

Happy Brothers!

Thanks Brad for coming to Rexburg! We had so much fun, come again soon!

Wolverine.

Once upon a time there was a man named Wolverine.
Wolverine had a beard and very long, curly hair. Wolverine wanted a haircut, but the barber never had an available appointment, so Wolverine became agitated--
After his period of agitation subsided, Wolverine fell over into a deep, restful sleep.
The End.

Fourth of July!

For the Fourth of July Ben, Brad (Ben's older brother), and I headed up to Island Park, Idaho for some celebrations with Ben's sister Danielle, Ben's Brother-in-law Tim and their family.
May I just say, I love this family! They are so great and I'm so excited to be a part of their family!

Anyways so we played around on quads and dirt bikes and then went off to see fireworks! We drove back to Rexburg late Wednesday night and then went back up to Island Park on Thursday and played all day. We stayed the night and came back early Friday morning so I could go to my 9am psychology class. We all had such a great time camping!
Hopefully Danielle will send me some pictures of the whole group but here's some of Benny and I:

Don't mind my crazy eyes.

Brad is waving to the camera!
It was our first Fourth of July together--and there are many many more to come! :)
Good thing we both love the Constitution and the Founding Fathers!

Spa Night!

Once upon a time Ben and I had a spa night:

BEFORE SPA NIGHT STARTED:

How did I get so lucky!?
DURING SPA NIGHT:
Pomegranate Facials!
AFTER SPA NIGHT:

Haha. Just kidding, I was just seeing if y'all were paying attention!
We didn't get an after picture.
And we most definitely didn't turn into E.T.
But we did facials, foot massages, watched The Proposal and drank diet coke.
Pshh, who said when you have a fiancĂ© you don't get to have girl nights ;)

BEAR WORLD.

My Mother and Father came and visited me in Rexburg last week! It was so joyous. We tried on my wedding dress, got it hemed, ate at Costa Vida, swam in the hotel pool, ate at Nielsons, went grocery shopping, and WENT TO BEAR WORLD!
I have never been to Bear World but my parents both had. And my mom got to feed the baby bears! For Christmas, all I want is a season pass to Bear World, I'm serious.
It. Was. Awesome.
We ate ice-cream cones, a bear almost attacked the car, we fed the fish, watched chickens eat pig poop, listened to a turkey 'gobble', and i pet a dear!
I recommend Bear World to anyone traveling through Idaho, it was fantastic!
Here are some pictures:
Ben and I are the same height!

Welcome to our Bear Family!

I fed a bear!

Benny fed a bear!

That bear has nothing on him.

1st pet: black bear

Weddings!

Another weekend in June Ben and I headed down to Utah for his mission friend's wedding!
Mike and Erika got married!

Woo! On the way down, Ben was tired so I was driving. I was tired, so I drank a Rockstar. I got very very hyper. Ben took videos. These videos are to be shared another time, but you should look forward to seeing them.
Anyways the reception was great! We ate food, talked with Ben's old mission companions/buddies, Ben got sharpie on my engagement ring, etc. Fun times!
And yes, the sharpie came off, he was thanking his lucky stars.
Here is us at the reception:

Also, before the reception, Ben and I headed to the mall to go buy him a new dress-shirt. So we bought that super nice shirt at Express. Ya, we are rich.....WRONG! It was a super sale! We are bargain shoppers, a great trait if you ask me.
We didn't drive down in our church clothes (because we all know that isn't comforable), so we were just going to stop at some bathroom and change. Ben had the lovely idea of just going to some church building (because we all know there are a billion in Utah) and changing in those bathrooms.
I thought: "yes this would be a good idea, but I doubt any church buildings are open".
Ben assured me: "Oh no, in Texas they are always open, trust me, they'll be open".
I, as the faithful fiance, went along with it.
Two church buildings later, all locked.
So, naturally, Ben changed behind the storage unit by the church and I changed in the car.
Oh the adventures.

Walking the Streets of Rexburg!

The title of this post is after a song with Buck Owens! (Famous dead country singer who lived in Bakersfield!) Here is the video, its a good one, catchy.

Anywho. One day Ben and I were on a nice Sunday afternoon walk and all of the sudden there is a hole in the street!
AND I FELL IN!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha, not really. But sheesh, my foot could go all the way in. It was totally hollow inside there! Ben and I became fascinated with it. So we took pictures, naturally.
sausage toes!
A squirrel could have lived down there.
Anyways, Rexburg is infamous for its terrible street conditions. Since this incident, the hole has been filled--probably to save some student from dying.
But we were entertained for at least, five minutes.
:)

Soreness.

So the beginning of June my dad, two sisters, brother, and I all ran a half marathon! I probably should have trained for it, but I survived. I've never been so sore in my life!
After the race!
Anyways, each runner got a "goody bag" and in this bag there were TONS of Fat Cats coupons! Fat Cats is an arcade/bowling/mini golf/movie theater/fun place. So since there isn't a fat cats in California, Ben and I scored all the coupons!
So, we basically had free bowling and free shoe rental for a week straight. Every single night we went bowling! (One night we mini golfed and tied).
The current bowling score is:
Jacquie-4
Benny-2
That's right folks, I'm a darn good bowler!
After about two days of bowling Ben and I were eating dinner and we both were complaining about our forearms being sore. We thought and pondered: "Why on earth are only our right forearms sore??" We finally settled that it was because we played a vicious thumb war the previous day. The next day however we went to bowl and BAM we were sore from bowling!!! Pretty funny.
Here is Ben bowling, he said that he's not a good bowler when the "cosmic" lights are on because his eyes can't focus...excuses.
Yay for running and getting coupons and bowling till we are sore! And hooray that I am the bowling champion!
