24 days!

Ben and I leave for Rexburg in 24 days!
Woo! I think we are both excited to leave Vegas and head back up to our love land of Rexburg.
I've missed school dearly, I've also missed the social life.

Today I was thinking to myself I can't wait to go to Rexburg so I can eat some:

COSTA VIDA!
I don't care what you say, Cafe Rio sucks and Costa Vida is so so so so so much better.

Although I'm not excited for the snow, my nose hairs freezing, or slipping on ice, I'm excited for everything else.

I thought of something else I wanted to eat in Rexburg but now I can't remember what it is, so I guess Costa Vida is it!

We began to pack last night--which really ended up as "woah look at all this cool crap I have that I've forgotten about, that I haven't used in the last 6 months but I still need it".

geesh. Wish us luck in packing!

Thanksgiving!

Our Thanksgiving celebrations started early Thursday morning and ended late Sunday night!
Ben's older brother Brad came and stayed with us for about five days, we partied hard!
Our Thanksgiving was:
Football, Food, and Guns.
Pretty successful!

I of course didn't get many pictures, but I did take a few of my nieces and nephews as we were hanging out after eating!
Abby

Marin

Carson
I didn't get pictures of my other two nephews Colter and Quentin. Colter was too busy playing football and Quentin was too busy pretending to be a dragon.
Aunt Jacquie < Dragon.
who can blame him, right?

burritos. and not the good kind.

Last night I woke up around 2am to hear Ben whining.

whiningpresent participle of whine (Verb)

Verb:
  1. Give or make a long, high-pitched complaining cry or sound.
  2. Complain in a feeble or petulant way.

So he was whining. So then this happened:

Jacquie: "Ben, what's wrong? Ben?"
Ben: "I'M STUCK!"
Jacquie: I just started laughing. Ben had managed to roll himself in a sheet burrito and could NOT get out of it!! It was hilarious.
I finally helped him roll out of it. And he was a happy clam. He rolled over and fell back asleep.

He doesn't remember a thing.

Poor kid.  He thought he was going to die in that sheet burrito.

The Strip.

So we live in Henderson and we are about 20-25 minutes away from the strip.
So we had nothing to do so we went to the strip!
We parked at Excalibur and played lots of arcade games! We won tickets and I got an eye bouncy ball and Ben got a parachute man.
We then walked to New York New York and were about to ride the roller coaster and we took these pictures:

Then we got in trouble and we couldn't take our phone on the roller coaster, unless we paid an extra fifty cents to put it in a locker. We didn't like that, so we got a refund for our tickets and went on our way.

We then decided we needed some dessert (or rather, I decided) so we headed to the MGM Grand and went to rainforest cafe!
We got the volcano!!! It's awesome! I didn't get a picture of it, but basically its chocolate brownies with chocolate sauce, caramel, ice cream, and whipped cream with a firework on top.
It was delicious.
Ben decided to play 'psychic' again, so we did.
Here was my plate:
 Here was Ben's:

We also got to sit RIGHT next to the fish tank! I decided next time we would bring Gomez our fish and he could play with the other fishies.

Then we made our way back to Excalibur to our car:

I was like:

And Ben was like:

The end.

birthday fun!

So Benny turned 23! We both had to work that day but when we got home this was waiting on the couch:
It said 23 things I love about him!
I won't type them on here, 'cus some of them are too mushy.

Ben got:
-a huge bag of Lindor chocolates (not pictured)

-Atlas Shrugged (a book by Ayn Rand)
-the Gadsden Flag (don't tread on me!)

He kept running around with the flag as a cape, he was so excited! Now it is hanging on our bedroom wall.

-and a shirt and ammo from my Mom and Dad

his face is priceless.

"My cat lady can out-crazy your cat lady!" We both found it pretty hilarious.

We then ate some Great American Cookies "cake" and Ben blew out some "candles"

After all of this we went to Ben's favorite place to eat: All You Can Eat Sushi.
I don't like sushi (actually I've never had it but it just smells awful). Anyways so I ate some vegies and Ben gorged himself. Sadly he ate way too much and had a terrible garlic overload. So instead of going to see a movie we went home, he almost threw up 25358 times and fell asleep at 8:40pm.
He's an old man, what can I say.
But that was the big birthday!  We have 72 more to go! ;)

We sat at the sushi bar and this kitty sat in front of me! Also, you can see my chop stick helper. It was awesome!

Here is Benny, feeling a little queasy eh?

Happy birthday to my husband!

23!

Happy birthday to my hubby!

He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love him so much!
He is an old man now, a whopping 23. At least he isn't married to a teenager anymore ;)
I love you Benjamin!
His birthday dinner will consist of enchiladas, cookie monster cake, and presents!
But you'll have to come back on Monday to see that post :)

Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Ben and I registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for our wedding.
We go to this wonderful store quite a lot.
And we spend gift cards and store credit there all the time.
We spend this on pretty un-useful things.
Example: we still need a good set of nice, matching towels.
Instead we buy: 5 pounds of bath salts, deck of cards, candles, and a foot massage package.

eesh.
The other day we went, and from the other side of the store I spotted Ben, putting on all sorts of massagers. I had to take a picture!

And later I found this awesome toilet bowl cleaner holder: (are those things really called that?)

i promise i didn't buy it.

last cruise post

probably.
it is probably the last cruise post.

in our room we had a big mirror and a counter beneath it.
i put my makeup on said counter.
one day, ben is looking mischievous.
i ask him why?
he says, "why did you draw a cat on the mirror with your mascara!??!!?"
(while busting up laughing)
i say to him, what? i didn't draw anything.
he points at it.

i laugh and figure he drew this cat on the mirror with my mascara probably while i was in the shower for fun.
i think to myself, "why on earth did he draw this cat on the mirror. how weird is that."

i ask him all through the rest of our time on the boat, why did you draw that?
he would giggle and say he didn't, and that i did.
i surely did not.

it was a matter of laughter for days. i had to document.

 he still won't confess.

Psychic

Since we had a whole lot of cable on the boat, we watched a whole lot of t.v.
One of the shows we watched was of this guy who was basically a "psychic" but used simple psychological principles/body language to figure out what his people of choice were thinking.

So after watching this, Ben decided that he could be like this man, and amaze people with his "psychic" abilities.

Ben and I both got a piece of paper and sat on either sides of the room.
He told me to draw something. And he said he would read my mind and draw the same thing.

We then put our drawings together:

HE DID IT! He was so excited.
But I don't think he is psychic, I think he just knows me.

Fun on the Boat!

We rode on the Carnival Triumph boat! It was huge!
We spent a lot of our time in our room watching t.v. since we don't have cable! It was so nice to just lay down and turn the t.v. on. haha, how lame are we.
But we spent about 3 nights playing roulette!
We are not addicted to gambling in any way shape or form. But we decided that we would spend a total of $40 on our trip to gamble it as our entertainment for the night. All in all we won big our first two nights of playing and the third night we sadly broke even (for all you non-gamblers, this means we didn't win money but we didn't lose money either).
Don't judge us 'cus we sin differently than you! (President Uchdorf just popped in my mind).

Anyways, we also went to a magic show, drank tons of virgin pina coladas and got a couples massage!! A 75 minute massage. It was heaven. Ben was asleep around the 20 minute mark.

We also got the loved towel animals:
Sorry about the blurriness, Ben had one too many pina coladas ;)
This one was a gorilla!
And here is a cute little lobster :)

And here is our king sized bed:
Oh, and on the corner of the bed (pictured above) is our souvenir, we bought a glass chess set in Progresso! No we don't play chess, but we figured we could learn.

And you can get room service anytime you want. 24/7. For real.

Ben was finished eating a grilled cheese sandwich and I was drinking the best hot chocolate ever. But seriously, the frothiest most delicious hot cocoa ever. Never mind the 90 degree weather outside.

Cozumel, Mexico!

Alrighty back to the vacation:
The last port we stopped at was in Cozumel, Mexico.
And it was beautiful! I have never, ever, ever seen water so clear, and so blue.
It was gorgeous! (these pictures don't do it justice!)
Anyways we went on a dune buggy and snorkeling excursion!
I convinced Ben to snorkel and after he said it was better than he expected! so that was good.

We began the journey in our dune buggy in the back seat. We rode with another couple, I can't ever remember the guy's name but he a crazy deep voice. Oh! It was Kasey. And the lady was Amy. Ben and I secretly called her Fat Amy. You need to see the movie "Pitch Perfect" and you will understand.
Here is the pocket sized Mayan ruin we saw! It was basically a warning system, Ben can explain it, I was too busy looking at the crocodiles in the little estuary nearby! It was awesome! We only saw one croc, but he was fierce.

On our way back we got to sit shotgun, and Ben drove (since it was stick shift and I'm not 21).
Heres a little sneak peak of the crystal clear water, I have a printed picture at home that I need to put on because it shows just how beautiful it was!!
Here is the street we rode our dune buggy on.

And here is our boat! The water was so blue, it is best described as Gatorade-blue. Chya.
Amazing!

Wedding Pictures

Well, here are some wedding pictures that aren't on facebook!

How does one even go about choosing which pictures to print and hang in their apartment?
Should I make a book of all the good ones?
Who knows.
What did you do?
